Susan Nicholas Gephart for the artist retreats. Gay's creative passion is to cook the meals for the artists.

About the Farm & Studio

Audrey Gay Rodgers, the owner of Hameau Farm, and her helpers cook the wonderful, nutritious meals we eat during the Artist Retreat. She prides herself in presenting beautiful meals in a beautiful setting. Her goal is to provide sustenance for all the hungry painters and make them happy!

We welcome mature students of high school or college age for our Mentor Day. Join Hameau Artists of all levels for a relaxing day of painting at a discounted price. 

Mentor Day

There are multiple options for lodging. Retreat attendees may stay in the Hameau Rustic Cabins for free, or can book rooms in one of the local B&Bs. Book your accommodations separately and quickly, because space is limited.


Susan Nicholas Gephart is an award winning pastel and oil painter who has been creating colorful, impressionistic landscapes "plein air" for over thirty years. She works and teaches in all mediums, and welcomes all levels to attend the Hameau Retreat

Join us for the Sunset Paint Out with musician, Richard Sleigh, serenading the artists.


The Sunset Paint Out is followed by more music and a special themed dinner. We recommend professional artists take advantage of the sunset paint out.

This unique opportunity for attending Hameau artists enables exploration of expensive fine artist quality materials for all mediums.
