Enjoy a country breakfast while getting to know your instructors and the artists

Personal Time Painting; Instructors available in the Field and Studio

Healthy nutritional lunch for the working artist

2pm - 5:30pm
artist There will be plenty of free time for painting in the fields, or from the panoramic Hameau Studio Deck, in the shade by Kish Creek, or on excursions to other locations in The Big Valley, such as Brookmere Vineyards, Jacks Mountain, or The Belleville Amish Market. Susan Nicholas Gephart and James Farrah will assist and demonstrate "Plein Air" painting. Artists such as Beverly Klucher and Mary Cady Rubinstien will also be painting and drawing, and welcome artists
artists questions, observing their techniques, or working along side of them.

Daily Price

$90 per day includes all fees, meals, instruction, studio space, and free lodging in bunkhouse cabins. Also available are group rates, student rates, personalized schedules, scholarships, and additional information on B&Bs and motels.

Reception and Exhibit
Free and Open to the Public

The annual "a la carte and Art" features instructors and participating artists and paintings created during the workshop. This festive event includes fine food, art, and live music, and it is free and open to the public. It is fast becoming a popluar gathering for artists to share their fine art with collectors of landscape paintings!

We welcome mature students of high school or college age for our Saturday Mentor Day. There is a sliding student fee. For prices, contact Susan.

David Hopkins Memorial Scholarship Award students will attend along with adults and mentor students.

Susan and James Farrah will both be available to demonstrate painting "Plein Air," sketching live animals, and assist in the studio.

Annual Memorial Scholarship

The scholarship is awarded to teenage artists to allow them to participate in Hameau Farm Studio's Artist Workshops.

David Hopkins was a talented professional landscape painter and loving father. In 2002, he tragically died in a farm tractor accident, leaving behind a teenage daughter.

The David Hopkins Memorial Scholarship is given each year to two teenage artists who join adults and other mentoring teens
to paint at Hameau Farm Studio's Artist Workshops. It is to encourage
artistic relationships in an enriching and safe environment.
